Key West has some of the most amazing beaches around with crystal waters and great weather (as long as it’s not hurricane season). You want to come here to get away from it all and enjoy a beach vacation to the fullest.

Where to stay

You will want to stay somewhere near the vicinity of Key West International Airport which is on the southernmost part of the Keys. Almost everything you would want to do is here. The Gates Hotel is a decent spot which also has a shuttle that takes you to Old Town throughout the day.

What to do

Rest and relaxation on the beach. If you are not wanting to do that then this is the wrong place to come to. There is also the Southern Most Point for photo ops and to say you have been to the southern most point of the US. There is usually a long line since other people are trying to do the same so it’s best to get there early. If you want souvenirs check out Mallory Square, also at the bottom of the Keys.

If you are into coral reefs and diving, this is one of the best spots around the world for both. Just be careful as there are sharks in the area.
